Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Top Picks
It’s that time of the year again – the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Every year Nordstrom runs their Anniversary Sale to get shoppers excited for the new season – and offer brand new items at a discount. This year is no exception – there are tons of cute fall pieces included in the sale to get you [and your closet] ready for next season.
What’s so Great About the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
Well there are a few things! First, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale allows shoppers to purchase brand new collections at discounted prices. These pieces are just launching and will go back up to full price after the sale concludes. Now is a great time to get your hands on some of those splurge-worthy closet staples that you’ve been eyeing – like booties, jackets, sweaters, cardigans, and jeans. I usually invest in a few pairs of boots and booties as well as a jacket and a few sweaters.
When is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The other great thing about the sale is that Nordstrom cardholders receive early access to shop. So if you have a Nordstrom credit or debit card, you will be able to shop the anniversary sale online and in stores before the general public. This is extra exciting because the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is known for selling out of items quickly. Last year, even with early access, I missed out on quite a few key items that I wanted. However, Nordstrom will restock those popular pieces that are likely to sell out first. Even if you don’t get your hands on something during your first shopping trip, you can likely get it eventually once it’s restocked.
So the real question is when is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and when can I begin shopping? Check out the below image for the upcoming early access shopping dates. The sale goes live to the public on August 19.
What Should I Buy from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The sale can be a little bit overwhelming as there are tons of products included. Rather than browsing through 30+ pages, I’ve hand selected my favorite pieces from the sale and categorized them for you below.
Women’s Shoes:
I already own quite a few of above shoes. I snagged most of them at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year. The black combat boots in the above photo look almost identical to my Gucci boots – except the Gucci boots retail at $1,100 and the above ones are on sale for $105! So basically you need them.
For reference, I wear a 7.5 in the lower right corner Adidas sneakers and the Adidas Sam Smith sneakers above them. This is my true size when it comes to sneakers (but in heels and sandals, I typically wear a 7).
I also own the top right booties and I wear a 7.5 in those. I would suggest sizing up a half size in them. I’m usually a 7 in booties, but the 7.5 fits me perfect in these.

Women’s Jackets + Sweaters:
There are so many amazing cardigans and sweaters included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Now is the time to stock up for fall and winter. The best deal here are the two Barefoot Dreams cardigans. These are usually over $100, but marked down to $66 and $79 during the Anniversary Sale.

Women’s Tops:
Lots of great basics for layering or wearing alone! I really love the blush Free People tunic above and have a very similar style that I purchased from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year. This one sold out super fast so I would grab it first if you like it! I wear my normal size small and it fits great – the fit is supposed to be a bit oversized.

Women’s Activewear + Loungewear:
I’m still working from home so I’m obviously still loving these cozy pieces! The Spanx faux leather leggings are an absolute closet staple. If you don’t already own them, then now is the time to purchase since they’re discounted to $65! I wear my normal size small in these.

The two dresses on this collage will be going straight into my cart. I love the neckline on the ribbed midi dress!
I own the top ripped jeans in a lighter wash from last year and wear them all of the time! They run a little small so I sized up to a 27 in them instead of my normal size 26.

I hope this was helpful in navigating the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. There are so many great deals, but I would focus on wardrobe essentials that will still be in style next year. Most of the items I purchased last year are back this year, which means they are still in style and probably will be for a long time!
