Simple is a Good Thing!

Sometimes simple pieces are better than trendy or flashy ones. I always say that you should invest in something that you can pair with multiple pieces in your closet. Or invest in the pieces that will never go out of style – like a cashmere sweater, a great long sleeve shirt, the perfect pair of jeans and, of course, the designer handbag you’ve been eyeing. The more trendy pieces, like floral prints, cold shoulder, bell sleeves, that may go out of style next year, are the ones that you should buy at places like Forever 21, H&M, Zara, etc.
For these outfits, I started with two very simple pieces and changed the look of them entirely. I purchased this long sleeve shirt from the Vince outlet this past year. It wasn’t full price, but Vince also isn’t cheap. However, it is great quality and a piece I know that I will wear all of the time.
I can dress this top up by adding a fur vest and booties, or take it super casual with some cool sneakers and a scarf. I’m sure you all have something very similar in your closet and you can change the look of it by doing those same things. Try adding a statement necklace, an over the knee boot or a cute bootie to dress it up.
Don’t think your leggings and t-shirts are just for lounging and running errands! They are definitely for going out too!
