FRI-YAY: Day to Night Edition

TGIF!!! It is finally FRI-YAY! (is it weird that I just sang that out loud?)
I’m sure some of you ladies would love to head straight to happy hour from work and not stop at home to change your outfit – well at least that’s what I want to do! I mean it is Friday, so totally acceptable, right?
This outfit can easily take you from day to night. I’m pretty much obsessed with this jacket and wear it all the time. It is such a classic piece to own and it dresses up any simple outfit. Both of these pieces are something you can easily pair with multiple items in your closet and make them look different each time you wear them. I literally have on a grey long sleeve t-shirt dress underneath this jacket, yet I look like I can run a Fortune 500 meeting (maybe a little too high level? Yea probably). But you get the point!
To take any outfit from day to night, you’ll need some layers. Start with a simple dress or pants and a top, then add a blazer or jacket. You’ll typically wear some type of flat or stiletto that is work appropriate. At the end of your day, remove that blazer/jacket and switch out your shoes with something a little more fun for night time – an over the knee boot, a bootie or an edgier heel. You can always change up your accessories a little bit too – maybe bring a clutch or a statement necklace to wear out that night.
